Korniche roof lanterns are thermally broken aluminium roof lanterns built for flat-roof extensions, orangeries, and open-plan living spaces. Available in sizes from 850mm x 850mm up to 6000mm x 4000mm and in any RAL colour, Korniche combines maximum glass area with slim aluminium profiles and a 1.0 W/m2K U-value for year-round thermal comfort. More Glass, Less Frame
Korniche roof lanterns are available in sizes from 850mm x 850mm up to 6000mm x 4000mm, with a minimum number of glazing bars to maximise the glass area. The result is an open, light-filled structure with uninterrupted sightlines. For a more traditional appearance with additional glazing bars at 600 to 900mm centres, contact our team. This is a popular specification for heritage buildings and older properties.
Thermal Performance: Warm in Winter, Cool in Summer
Korniche roof lanterns achieve a 1.0 W/m2K U-value through thermally broken aluminium frames, foam-filled gaskets, and low-emissivity glass coatings. An optional Solar Control glass upgrade reduces solar heat gain by approximately 50% while retaining high light transmission, keeping rooms bright without glare. This combination meets and exceeds Part L building regulations requirements for new roof openings in England, making Korniche a compliant and comfortable choice for any flat-roof extension.
The Korniche is a popular specification for orangery roof lanterns, where its slim aluminium profiles and fully configurable sizing suit the larger spans and higher thermal specifications that orangery build-outs typically require.
Quick and Easy to Install
Each Korniche roof lantern kit is supplied in knock-down form with glass loose, making it straightforward to handle on-site, including in restricted-access situations. Appearance and Finish
Korniche roof lanterns feature slim aluminium profiles finished in a durable polyester powder coating that requires minimal maintenance over its lifetime. Standard colour options are available in the configuration menu above, and any standard RAL colour can be specified for bespoke orders. Self-cleaning glass is supplied as standard, reducing maintenance throughout the year.

I install my lantern on Saturday, it took about 1 hour to level the subframe , half hour to put the framing together, and 40 minutes to glaze, this was because one side the room to stand was tight .only issue was trying to fit the screw channel caps, I still need to do I can not get them to clip in , other than that fantastic bit of kit, the unit size is 3200mm x 1700mm so needed a hand.
